Product Updates -Over 3,000 scheduled departures in 2020, with lots of Private/Custom itineraries as well. We are now running trips in 61 countries.
-New fleet of e-bikes coming out in 2020. Our electric-assist bicycles will be used by more than 25% of our clients next year, and they are included in the trip price (no extra charge).
-Expansion of our Active River and Ocean Cruise Programs with AmaWaterways and Ponant. We also have a new Chile/Patagonia Cruise coming out with Australis.
-Addition of a new Family segment called 20’s and Beyond, which is meant for Families traveling with their adult children. Backroads now has 4 unique age segments, with trips for kids as young as 4 years old. Over 1,000 Family departures scheduled for 2020.
