National Geographic Endurance launches in April 2020
National Geographic Resolution launches in 2021

National Geographic Endurance is a next-generation expedition ship, purpose-built for polar navigation. A fully stabilized, highly strengthened, ice-class Polar Class (PC5) vessel, it is designed to navigate polar passages year-round, and safely explore uncharted waters, while providing exceptional comfort. Its patented X-BOW® is key to its design; its powerful wave-slicing action provides an extremely smooth ride in even adverse conditions, and even reduces spray on deck, for superior observation. She carries a full suite of expedition tools and offers a variety of experience-enhancing amenities.

Big News! Now A Carbon-Neutral Travel Company
Now you can feel even better about traveling with us. Beginning in 2019 we’ve become a carbon neutral company, offsetting the carbon emissions of our fleet, employee travel worldwide, offices in New York and Seattle, all land-based operations, and beyond. Working in partnership with South Pole, the world’s leading developer of international emission reduction projects, we now have a portfolio of six carbon project investments that align with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. We also offer the opportunity for guests to offset their air travel by purchasing credits from South Pole. These investments focus on renewable energy, reforestation, and community-based projects in the regions our fleet visits, and beyond. We firmly believe any carbon offset plan must be accompanied by a strategy to reduce emissions, so are always looking for ways to lessen our carbon footprint at all levels of our business.

How does your company compare to competitors? Our expedition fleet consists of nimble, intimately-scaled expedition ships, able to safely venture where larger cruise ships cannot. This allows us to offer authentic, up-close experiences in the planet’s wild, remote places and capitals of culture. More than comfortable as your base for exploring, our National Geographic luxury cruise ships are outfitted with cool tools that enable a genuine connection with the places we visit and offer inviting private accommodations, and gracious public spaces for our expedition community to gather.

INTIMATE – 148 guests maximum. Many new ships entering the market talk in Cabins – 150 cabins is 300 guests which does not offer the same level of access or intimacy of experience.

National Geographic Society relationship.
Dedication to the environment.
First Expedition company to take guests to Antarctica, Galapagos – Lars Eric Lindblad started it all.
