About Me:

My work experience began with the National Park Service as a cave guide at the Oregon Caves National Monument. After college, I worked as a leadership consultant for Theta Chi National Fraternity in Trenton, New Jersey, and traveled the USA. I returned to Oregon to work in my family’s timber business but had been bitten by the travel bug. I received training from Pan American World Airways at their training facilities in London, New York, Honolulu, and Miami and then decided to open my own travel agency in Ashland, Oregon. I sold my travel agency after twenty-five years in business and continued in the profession and started the corporate travel department for Lithia Motors before moving to Sun Valley, Idaho. I then began my affiliation with the Travel Society, A Virtuoso agency in Denver, Colorado where I continue to be an active associate specializing in travel to the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal).
During my long career, I have been a regular trip leader for trekking trips in Nepal and Tibet, as well as specialized groups to Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, France, Russia, and of course Spain. My career has taken me around the world many times. Along the way, I have been to the Everest Base camp twice and have found time to row my own raft down Colorado thru the Grand Canyon four times. These days I am traveling to Spain and Portugal about six times per year.
